K.C. recommended the entire Sword of Truth series to me in the spring of 2002. I was hooked from the first page of the first book -- this is the third book in the series: Richard Rahl and Kahlan must save the New World from the evils entering the breach in the barrier to the Old World -- and I read all seven books, one right after the other.
1. Wizard's First Rule (available in the PSC Library)
2. Stone of Tears (available in the PSC Library)
3. Blood of the Fold (available in the PSC Library)
4. Temple of the Winds (available in the PSC Library)
5. Soul of the Fire (available in the PSC Library)
6. Faith of the Fallen (available in the PSC Library)
7. The Pillars of Creation (available in the PSC Library)
8. Naked Empire
(paperback release 1 June 2004)
If you like it, remember you don't have to buy the other books in the series -- you can get it from the public library. If your public library doesn't own the books, ask them about getting it on interlibrary loan. -- WV public libraries have a wonderful free interlibrary loan system, so use it! And if you're not from WV -- well, the public libraries in MD, PA*, OH, KY, TN and VA also have good interlibrary loan services as well.

HERE!!! unbelievable huh? :) going to sit here till the second comes! :)
will be mailed tomorrow and hopefully (touch wood and all that) make it to billhookbabe before the new year. happy reading and thanks alot LCBane for the rings.
Arrived today, neatly packaged with Stone of Tears and some lovely postcards. Thanks Katyoun.
Really enjoyed this book and was sucked straight in again as I read it straight after the last one. Richard is definitly shaping up as a hero now and is beginning to think of the consequences for his actions. I liked the way the women are as strong as the men in this series, particularly Kahlen being disobedient at the end and making her stand in the battle.
Now off to alanfoxboro, enjoy.

I received this book today in the mail. I will read it and post a review ASAP.
Blood of the Fold is definately the best of the first three novels in the Sword of Truth series. Goodkind departed a bit more from his repetitious story line, and added some more original concepts. Interesting that he should decide to introduce a gay character in this one; isn't Richard just a picture of perfect tolerance? And what happened to Emperor J? I guess you have to leave an opening for the sequels.
Thanks to LC Bane for these bookrings. This one is off to MollyGrue in the next few days.

Thanks! Sadly, I already have a copy of this (that I'm slightly stalled on). I managed to scrounge the rest of this series (except for The Pillars of Creation); so I hope you don't mind if I just drop out of the ring.
Thanks for introducing me to Terry Goodkind!
