K.C. recommended the entire Sword of Truth series to me in the spring of 2002. I was hooked from the first page of the first book -- this one: Richard Rahl lives in an area without magic, but one day meets Kahlan, a woman with tremendous gifts; then he discovers his own gift as The Swordbearer -- and I read all seven books, one right after the other. Soon I am going to reread all the books again, so all the details will be fresh in my memory when I start _Naked Empire_ (July 2003).

If you like it, remember you don't have to buy the other books in the series -- you can get it from the public library. If your public library doesn't own the books, ask them about getting it on interlibrary loan. -- WV public libraries have a wonderful free interlibrary loan system, so use it! And if you're not from WV -- well, the public libraries in MD, PA*, OH, KY, TN and VA also have good interlibrary loan services as well.

*I just heard from one PA library this week (24 Oct 2003) that budget cuts are going to force them to severely limit ILLs -- there is just no money. So...support your local library and donate or lobby for more money.

Released on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Mary F. Shipper Library @ Potomac State College in Keyser, West Virginia USA.

Released near BookCrossing Zone sign on marble table beside green couch at entrance.

This is a long book, so it will take a while to read, but it seems very interesting. I plan to release this book in another town. Hopefully I can spread the joy.

It was such an incredible book that I gave it to my older brother to read. Together we plan to buy the entire series to read.
