I can't help myself. Every time I see one of these specially priced books I have to buy it and release it.
K.C. recommended the entire Sword of Truth series to me in the spring of 2002. I was hooked from the first page of the first book -- this one: Richard Rahl lives in an area without magic, but one day meets Kahlan, a woman with tremendous gifts; then he discovers his own gift as The Swordbearer -- and I read all seven books, one right after the other. Soon I am going to reread all the books again, so all the details will be fresh in my memory when I start _Naked Empire_ (July 2003).
1. Wizard's First Rule (available in the PSC Library)
2. Stone of Tears (available in the PSC Library)
3. Blood of the Fold (available in the PSC Library)
4. Temple of the Winds (available in the PSC Library)
5. Soul of the Fire (available in the PSC Library)
6. Faith of the Fallen (available in the PSC Library)
7. The Pillars of Creation (available in the PSC Library)
If you like it, remember you don't have to buy the other books in the series -- you can get it from the public library. If your public library doesn't own the books, ask them about getting it on interlibrary loan. -- WV public libraries have a wonderful free interlibrary loan system, so use it! And if you're not from WV -- well, the public libraries in MD, PA*, OH, KY, TN and VA also have good interlibrary loan services as well.
*I just heard from one PA library this week (24 Oct 2003) that budget cuts are going to force them to severely limit ILLs -- there is just no money. So...support your local library and donate or lobby for more money.

No longer there!
I picked up the book during the Christmas holidays at the end of 2004. I enjoyed the book. I normally read fiction but not about magic so this was different. I plan to return it on February 3 or 4, 2005 to the place that I picked it up - "Queen City Creamery" on Harrison Street in downtown Cumberland.
