I bought this out of curiosity to see what the Twilight fad was about. My curiosity was satisfied and I don't feel any desire to read the rest of the series. I am releasing this at the Unconvention at Edinburgh.

Picked up at the Unconvention last weekend in Edinburgh. Same here, jsut picked it up to see what all the hype is about so I will report back in due course.

Well, the general consensus for me is that Twilight is entertaining teenage fiction - nothing more, nothing less. I do admit to having been a bit of a Buffy fan when the show first came out so I probably had higher expectations with Twilight (Buffy being very cleverly written). The constant ''Isn't Edward gorgeous, isn't he beautiful, isn't he wonderful'' did annoy me a bit (it's been a while since I was a teenager in love) but once Bella found out he is indeed a Vampire and gets to meet his family the story gets a bit more interesting. I can see the appeal for a younger audience, I am glad I read it but I won't be rushing to read more or see the film. Thanks for sharing though MyopicMeringue and I'll release the book at our next Meet Up in Edinburgh.
