A World Out of Time

I pulled this out of one of my TBR crates, only to find I'd read it before.
This is Niven's first novel in the Rammer universe. I had thought it recent, but in fact it dates from the 1970s, shortly after Rammer itself was published.
The first chapter of the novel is a re-working of the original short story; the book then takes off in its own direction. It was all enjoyable, although I don't like much of the science (I think the timescale is wrong for the plate tectonics, and the immortality treatment doesn't fit with modern notions of ageing mechanisms)
For trade or release.
