Journal Entry 1 by JonniC from Birmingham, West Midlands United Kingdom on Tuesday, June 16, 2009
I officially have 3 copies of this book, I don't know why I just have, I have one of every cover for some reason. And I have read one of the books, therefore I presume all the books have the exact same story in and therefore that's why I'm giving this one out so that people can realise that Tim Bowler books can be immense at times! If compared to his other books this one really does stand out from the rest!

The back of the book says:
"Fin is devastated when his sister is kidnapped. Poor frightened Ella, snatched away from the house in the middle of a storm. Fin will never forgive himself for leaving her on her own. Still, at least they'll get her back when they've paid the money.

But the kidnapper has more than just money on his maind. And as his plans unfold, Fin and his family are forced to confront their deepest, darkest secrets.

A storm is breaking, andit's going to change everything..."

The back of the book doesn't show or explain how great this book really is, and I know myself that no other book can knock the immense that is given off this story. So people PM me if you really want this, or it'll end up somewhere unknown if you're not careful!

Take one Tim Bowler book and add a generous dose of "no housework" blend with 2 and a half hours of escapism and you are left with it's vey own Waterstones review "a compulsive read from the first page to the last"

Journal Entry 9 by Tinina67 on Tuesday, July 28, 2009
Interesting story told from three different points of view: by a fifteen year old boy, his thirteen year old sister and their 3 year old brother. Not really a "cold sweat/sleepless night thriller", but kept me reading and I finished it in two days.

This story had me captivated from the opening scene. I couldn't put it down, which was delightful, since I haven't had the joy of a real page-turner in quite awhile! Thanks so much, Jonniboi, for sharing it with us.
The book will be making its way around the U.S. leg of its journey now. I mailed it off this morning to Poobah1, the next reader on the list. Enjoy!

Journal Entry 25 by Poobah1 from Lake Elmo, Minnesota USA on Sunday, March 21, 2010
Arrived safe and sound from Florida to the Upper Midwest of the US known as Minnesota. We get some mighty storms up here...snow and rain! Many thanks for including me on the ray. I'll get to it soon and get it onto its next stop.

Added after I finished it on March 27, 2010: Ummmm, well...I guess I'll be the odd one out in this journal crowd. This book just didn't strike me as it has others. It actually irritated me. While it was a tense page-turner in a way, I couldn't wait to be done with it. Oh well, "Variety is the spice of life!" I do appreciate the chance to read it and am happy to see its travels around the globe. Onto the next reader...I'm awaiting the mailing address of easterngirl71.

Cheers to all,
Poobah1, Minnesota, US
