Translated from Swedish, novel takes place in current day, based on a story that happened during WWII. I found it slow-going, slightly depressing and a little pointless in the end. The narrator's father had worked with the 'underground', smuggling Jews out to freedom, then the father disappears and his mother has an affair with a neighbor. There is a strange boy in the mix, I kinda' lost track of the story after a while.
