in the aftermath of Katrina, the Louisiana vampire community is hurting and then suffered more damage after the explosion at their convention in Rhodes last month. Sookie tries to stay out of the upset but is pulled in when new vampires come in to take over the area and her boyfriend Quinn has been missing the past month. The Shreveport Were pack is undergoing some takeover issues as well and no matter how Sookie tries to avoid it she's dragged in to that as well.
