I love Douglas Coupland, and thought that 'Microserfs' and 'J Pod' were both witty and incisive. So, when I found 'Generation X', I leapt on it with anticipation. It's nicely wacky, but I just gave up halfway through- there wasn't really any point to it, entertaining though it was. Generation X is his debut, and I think he got into his groove with the later books. Possibly deserves a higher rating than 5, which is why it's being released for others to hopefully enjoy more than I did.

Not worth the hype. Pleasant enough tale, but ultimately not leading anywhere.
