Dreaming Down Under, an anthology labelled "the most important anthology of Australian speculative fiction ever published". Contributors include some of Australia's best-known writers of speculative fiction: Simon Brown, Sean Williams, Isobelle Carmody, Jane Routley, Rosaleen Love, Stephen Paulsen, Terry Dowling, Andrew Enstice, Damien Broderick, Stephen Dedman, Wynne Whiteford, Cherry Wilder, Paul Brandon, Tess Williams, Sean McMullen and Dirk Strasser. This is a showcase of the very best contemporary 'wild-side fiction' (those stories that have an edge of horror, or fantasy, or magical realism) and the very best genre fiction - science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
Originally published in hardback, the paperback version was published in two volumes (cos one volume would have been to fat!). This is volume two. (And the cover is different)

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Released at a lovely catchup meeting at the Pottery this evening.
Going into Book 2, it seemed to be a far stronger collection than Book 1, however the last couple of stories didn't seem quite as good as the rest of the volume so perhaps the two books were of more even quality than it first seemed. Overall I really enjoyed the anthology and agree that it's one of the strongest Aussie collections I've read (not that I've read a hyuuuge amount...)
Favorite stories were:
The Soldier in the Machine, Russel Blackford
The Truth about Weena, David J. Lake
Two Recipes for Magic Beans, Rosaleen Love
And Now Doth Time Waste Me, George turner

Had this from KLL last week. It was just like old times in The Pottery!
