Middle Age: A Romance
2 journalers for this copy...
In Salthill-on-Hudson, a 1/2 hour train ride from Manhattan, everyone is rich, beautiful and--though they look much younger--middle-aged.
This book is my least favorite Joyce Carol Oates book of all time! The stories feature JCO's signature style and character development, but it just seemed as if there was a connection that wasn't there. The most interesting character in the novel dies in the beginning of the book, to my dismay.
Works probably better as a collection of short stories.

Didn't realize I failed to journal when I picked this up. It's going to the office for release.
