A wonderfully-conceived world, set in Banks' Culture universe. Very well written with engaging characters and the usual high-tech Banksian panache and yet, for me, on some level rather unsatisfying for exactly those reasons. Have I developed Banks-fatigue, somehow? I'll be interested to see what subsequent readers think of it.
