Rec'd in Trekwoman's "Every One's a (Prize) Winner!" Bookbox 3.0!

I've never actually read this book, but when I was in 7th grade there was a huge pile of them stacked next to my desk, on a metal filing cabinet. We never used the books in that class, but since I saw this pile every day I will forever associate The Giver with middle-school English.

At one point I did acquire a copy of this book with the intent of reading it, but I ended up releasing it through a book-swapping website when I was low on points.

one of my favorite young adult books ever, probably because it's set in some sort of future dystopia but there is still hope despite the authoritarion rules

definitey worth a few hours to read- you will probably want to seek out the other 2 books set in the same world

left in the box

This book should have been one I read in my childhood, but unfortunately it was written long after I'd finished adolescence. Love this book. It sticks in my head and I want to share it with everyone I meet.

I decided to pluck it from the bookbox and save it for release at the Texas Book Festival this fall.
