Gotta love Joey Margolis. He writes letters to his baseball heroes, spouting atrocious lies in a desperate attempt to go on the road with these guys. And somehow it works for him.

Taken out of the Summer Neverending Fun Bookbox! I'm interested in seeing what this is about... the format is absolutely interesting to me. I'd like to see how they work it out.
I can't believe I didn't update this after I read it. I adored this book. I read the entire thing within 24 hours, unable to stop. I really didn't think I'd like it that much, since it's mostly about baseball... but the characters have stunning personalities, and seeing the world from all their different perspectives and having to fill in the gaps in your own imagination is awesome. I cracked up laughing the whole way through, sending my boyfriend texts at 3 am quoting it (not sure if he thought it was as funny as I did). Amazing book... entertaining and just yay! I loved it. :) I would recommend it to anybody ^_^
I had this on my "TBR VBB" list, and now that someone has claimed it, I'll be sending this book out to them shortly.

I just discovered I never journaled this book. I read this a few years ago and from what I remember, I enjoyed the book. I liked the format of letters, interviews, and articles and how the story unfolded. Like I said, it's been a few years since I read this, remembering any other details is lost on me at this point.

I really enjoyed this book and the epistolary storytelling. I liked the development of the relationship between Joey and Charlie.
