A young woman, accompanied by three friends, returns to her childhood home on a small lake island in Canada to find out what has happened to her father. She must confront the ghosts of her past, and deal with present relationships, which start to unravel in the wilds.
This was an interesting book and I am glad that I was able to read it. But I must admit that I did not enjoy it as much as most Margaret Atwood. Perhaps I was just not in the right place to be reading it.
