Memoirs of a Geisha
6 journalers for this copy...
I bought this used copy recently. Then, as I started reading it, realized that I'd read it years ago. While I enjoyed it then, I'll be passing it along so someone else can get this lovely taste of Japanese geisha life...
Sent to Brendalc57, for her to read and release!
Totally fascinating book! The life of a Geisha couldn't have been better narrated than this. Was so hooked...I could not stop reading. Thanks so much for sending it to me Smilingheron.
Now it is on it's way to Seattle for another bookcrossing member and friend.

Received as a RABCK from Deanya with a little note saying she enjoyed the book and hoped I would, too. Thank you so much!
I have good memories of reading this book, and couldn't find my original copy when I wanted to re-read it. Lo and Behold, it turned up about a week ago, when the friend I'd loaned it to finally returned it. No wonder I couldn't find my copy!
I had originally hoped to send on this to surprise another bookcrosser who is trying to start up a OBCZ, but heard she won't be able to use the location she'd first hoped. I think this copy may find a home via a mailbag to a distant land....

oh thank you bookczuk and this is certainly a surprise and such a great one. i loved the book, stole it from hengameh!, and even forced mom to read it, thought it was a great book and now i am ofcourse FORCED to read it again :) for me japan and it's culture is so mysterious and fascinating and also sometimes so near...go figure :) thanks, a wonderful surprise and also thanks for the bookmark, i love lighthouses and though we do have coastlines and seas and oceans and such here, we don't have lighthouses they are as foreign as japan and also as near, cause who hasn't dreamt of a being in a lighthouse during a storm and watching the waves and feeling the danger and feeling safe at the same time... afterwards having a cup of tea and reading something an adventure... well ok, i won't go to the romantic ending, you know suddenly someone banging on the door and.....
