FOR RELEASE

Journal Entry 3 by eastbaybookmisr from Oakland, California USA on Thursday, March 26, 2009
Ballantine Books paperback of the 2003 NYT Bestseller. The stamp on the top edge identifies it as formerly from Richmond Public Library, a few towns north of here. I found this yesterday, buried deep in the free books pile on the porch of the Dimond Library, several weeks after its registration for wild release. It was clearly a registered bookcrossing book, but it was missing the BCID number. With some detective work, I tracked it down to its former owner, and made successful contact - thanks sleone, for providing me that missing BCID number, which I have now properly recorded inside the front cover. :)

I can let this go after I read:
1985 When the Bough Breaks [read 2011]
1986 Blood Test [read 2014]
1987 Over the Edge [read 2023]
1988 The Butcher's Theater [read 2015]
1989 Silent Partner [not yet read]
1995 The Web [not yet read]
1997 Survival of the Fittest [not yet read]
1999 Monster [not yet read]
1999 The Back Page (short story) [not yet read]
1999 Therapy (short story) [not yet read]
2000 Dr. Death [not yet read]
2001 Flesh and Blood [read 2024]
2002 The Murder Book [not yet read]

Edit November 25, 2015: This was very entertaining. It kept me on edge and guessing throughout. Although the ending was more than a bit contrived. But the setup and the psychological drama makes it a worthwhile read. I currently have this ranked at #1297 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.

Released 8 yrs ago (11/25/2015 UTC) at Little Free Library at 6521 Mokelumne Avenue in Oakland, California USA

Aside from loving shared books, my main passion in life is supporting the human rights work of my good friend, Anni Cyrus. 💖 💖 Her life story of survival as a childhood refugee is astounding, and quite moving!
