Bat 6

This book was chosen because it is on the 2009 Reading Olympics list for Bucks County, and Morrisville's Gifted 6-12 students are required to read one Reading Olympics book per month this school year. Our goal is to get the books on the list, journal about them as we read them, have a release party at the end of the school year, and track the journey of our books next school year. We're excited to see where this book goes!
Hello, my name is Collin and I read Bat6. Bat6 is about two girls' softball teams that have a game annually. Each girl tells a story about what happened over the school year. When it comes time for the game, one girl for the Barlow team elbowed the first baseman of the Bear Creek Ridge team in the face. The girl had to be taken to the hospital and have a head and neck brace for five weeks. This canceled the game and caused a ruckus between the two towns. I recommend this book mainly to girls who like softball. Some of the characters are Catholic, so if you are not Catholic I suggest you don’t read this book.
