Peri Lomax's modelling career looks like it's on the skids and something drastic is needed otherwise she'll end up fronting an exhibition stand at Earl's Court.
Then she gets her dream job, a job that will properl her from the backwater of anonymity to the cover of Hi! magazine, a slot as presenter at the International Film Awards and to the giddy status of Face of the Millennium.
But there's a catch: forget sun-drenched beaches and imagine an icy Highland location with rags and a couple of live props thrown in, not to mention a boorish great Scotsman called Douglas. Suddenly Peri is wondering if immense fame is worth the suffering she's got to go through to get it. There are some things a girl can't be expected to tolerate - like life without caviar, jacuzzis and a fridge full of cosmetics.
But life is going to change for Peri - even if she fights it every step of the way.
