I loved this book. Caution: It's snarky! Be prepared!

I found the book at the Houston convention center at the end of the 2009 Texas Library Association conference. I read the Lemony Snicket series (including this volume) a few years ago and found it disturbingly charming. Definitely worth reading! I'm passing on this copy to someone at Texas Woman's University.

CAUGHT IN HOUSTON TEXAS USA

Journal Entry 4 by MsTina from Nacogdoches, Texas USA on Sunday, August 16, 2009
I was staying with some colleagues in Austin, Texas for the Annual Assembly of Texas Library Association. One of them had the book and I asked about it. Since i had not read it, and wanted to, I took it. I enjoyed the book. I really like young adult literature. This one tells you in the beginning pages that it is not a happy story. I love how all through the book the author would use a "big" word, and then define it before going on with the story. I will probably read the rest of the series. Though they are not the "they lived happily ever after" type stories, they are not too depressing. They are well written, fairly short, and easy to read. They do capture the reader.
