CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I'm afraid this didn't do it for me. I think it was meant to be some kind of Holocaust metaphor, but it missed the mark. It combined the kind of far-fetched plot that one could only believe in if one found it in a children's book with grisly descriptions of the demise of several cats - one every two chapters, at a guess. It would certainly have given me nightmares if I'd read it when I was at the age to accept a story where black cats are wiped out because they bring bad luck. And the actual reason isn't any more plausible, either.

Posted to Atrus today.

I just couldn't get into this book. Maybe it's the implausible plot or the childish language, but I just couldn't get myself to care, so after a few chapters I just started skimming to the (predictable) end.

Anyone knows how to contact E-sr, the next in line? I sent him/her a message but got no reply.

edit: Still no reply so far. I sent another message and if I hear nothing from them I'll just release the book.
