I am taking this book with me to read on the flights to LA, then Fiji and finally Ecuador where I will pass it on.

I was given this book by my English friend Avril who visited Quito in March 2009. I loved the title of the book the moment I saw it. The autobiography was rivetting. Clarissa has described the very different stages of her life in a manner that keeps one glued to the book. It shows how much a person can live through and come out triumphant. I also believe that the importance she has given to the TWELVE STEPS may help many readers.
I gave the book a nine because at times I was a wee nbit confused by sentence structure.
I am sending the book on to my mother Beatrice in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

My mother Beatrice passed the book on to me in Buenos Aires. She loved it. I brought it with me to Algeria where I am currently living. Entertaining, very human, just goes to show what some people have to go through and what determination and courage can do. Am not too sure whether I share Clarissa's views on hunting but I do appreciate the courage of her convictions. Good for you Clarissa and I must say I always loved to go and wander in Books for Cooks in Notting Hill.....Didn't know you were behind it!!!!!
