A detective story written by Douglas Adams. If that doesn't make you curious enough to read this, I'm not sure what else I could say about it.

From the back of the book:
There is a long tradition of Great Detectives, and Dirk Gently does not belong to it. But his search for a missing cat uncovers a ghost, a time-traveller, AND... the devastating secret of humankind!

Bestselling author Douglas Adams revs up his wit to warp-speed in his latest ghost/horror/detective/time-travel/romantic comedy epic, teetering once again "on the fringe of inspired lunach!" (UPI)

Released on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Kayters' Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Box #1 in KAYTERS, postal release USA.

This is going in the box.

It took a little bit for me to get into this book but I'm glad I did. There are many of the same themes as his Hitchhiker's Guide series though the humor isn't quite as flippant.
