Set in North Carolina in the late 1950s, this is a deeply moving story of two people discovering love for the first time and the changes this inevitably has on their lives.

I hope whoever finds this book enjoys it!

I LOVED it! Especially the last sentence. That sutble hint made me fall in love with the book. Whereas before I kind of resented it because it ended so sad (:

I found it yesterday on my way to take the discoverers to church and then I spent all day today reading it. At first I thought I wouldnt like it, because the front cover looked a bit dull and old people-ey, I think it was the chairs that did it - you imagine old retired people sitting in chairs like that. So I had my doubts about it, I wasnt keen on anything too serious cos I've been ill with a sore throat for the last week and needed some cheering up. Which was why I had the oppurtunity to spend all day reading it, cos I've been off school in bed, bored out of my brain but not fully functional. Anyway I was happily surprised when I read this incredibly interesting story about a guy that falls in love with a nerd and it was all really nice. Being a teenager I go for soppy romance like that. I liked the religious element to it as well. I thought it might be a religious book, like a minister looking back over his years and explaining how he'd become a proper christian.
Anyway, I digress, point is, the book was great, Im so glad I found it and plan to pass it on. Hmm where to put it...
