"In three brillian variations upon the classic detective story, Paul Auster makes the well-traversed terrain of New York City his own, as it becomes a strange, compelling landscape in which identities merge or fade and questions serve only to further obscure the truth. What emerges is an investigation into the art of storytelling, notions of identity and the very essence of language."

Ok, that blurb from the back probably goes a little over the top, but there are some interesting things that are said about solitude, and self-discovery and also New York, which I sort of first discovered by reading this book. And each part of the trilogy is different; just make sure you don't stop reading after one of them...it is worth reaching the end.

Released on Thursday, May 15, 2003 at Fiction shelf/section of Waterstone's Picadilly in London, London England United Kingdom.

The book will nestle somewhere in between the new books. It has a hand-written note inside telling how to notify the site that you've found the book. I hope you enjoy it...

I happened to be at London for the weekend and couldn't help going to get this book! My plans are to read it soon and release it, most probably in Barcelona. We were frightened when leaving Waterstone's and had to pass through the "thief detector arch"; we had to trust the person who left it there. Finally, it was worth it.

It's a great book, and really well written too. Though, I must admit I couldn't finish it: so many other books are yelling, waiting to be read!

I captured it some time ago and it's not fair keeping it, I will give it another opportunity to find his/her enthousiastic reader.

So, I think it will be released soon. As soon as I get to know where, when and how to do it. (My only previous experience with the tales of Poe was kind of decieving. In my opinion the place and the release notes where all right, but I must have failed in the execution)

I will let you know when the book is released. Hope it's you who finds it :)

Cheers!

(I beg all of you pardon for my poor skiils in English)
