This was recommended for my Chills & Spills challenge this year, and the book sounds so interesting, I just had to get a copy! This book was published in the UK under the title Not Before Sundown. Can't wait to read it!
I just finished reading this book this morning. Woah! I was really looking forward to the read as it sounded like an interesting idea and I've heard great things about the book (and it came highly recommended by pellu), but I got a lot more than I bargained for. Dark, surreal at times, sat, and oddly romantic and erotic. I'll never smell Calvin Klein's Obsession or juniper berries again without remembering this book, that's for sure! And this has me very curious about some of the Finnish folklore mentioned in the book, so I'll have to find some traditional stuff to read, as well as some more modern Finnish authors. I'm hooked!
I have a feeling firegirl will really enjoy this, so I'll send it her way soon!

This arrived today and it sounds excellent!! Thanks so much, Jare!
I liked this, though not as much as Jare. Though I appreciate the author's intent behind the non-fictionesque side-notes (for lack of a better way to describe them), at times I found them distracting. The book also leaves too many loose ends for my taste. My curiousity is piqued, though -- I'm interested in checking out other works by this author. Thanks for sharing, Jare!
This arrived today as a RABCK from the continuously generous Firegirl. Looks different and interesting. Hoisting it up onto Mt. TBR and hoping to get to it soon. :-)
Finally brought this one down from MT TBR and found it a fast read.....Was expecting something different I guess.....Not as big a fan of this as Jare.....Feel more about it as Firegirl although I don't think I'd really seek out reading this author again. Now available for trade or release.
Sending out to a Paperbackswap member. Enjoy!
