I picked up this "cozy mystery" at the Dollar Store for 50 cents! It was marked $1.00, but it scanned at 50 cents! I used to get paperbacks for fifty cents when I was a kid, but that was a long, long time ago!

This looks like it will be an entertaining, light read. I hope so. I know nothing about the author.

I finished reading this recently. It is an enjoyable, light read. A cozy mystery with cats, it is set in a small town in England. It is sort of a clone of The Cat Who ... books, but these cats are less perceptive than Mr. Qwilleran's. The mystery was sort of a let-down, but there was enough gentle humor to make up for it.

MrHorse started reading it when I finished. When he is done with it, it will be available for release.

My wife, FancyHorse, finished this book and gave it to me. It's okay so far, but I haven't gotten into the plot yet.

I found it disappointing, too. The victims were hardly mentioned; they weren't characters that I cared about at all, and the criminals just appeared out of nowhere. Also, there were some loose ends left untied. For instance, how did everyone get out of the burning apartment?
