I enjoyed this book less than I expected. I found it quite violent, and ended in a different place than I was expecting.
When Ruth Gemmill's younger brother Alex fails to return her calls, she sets off to check up on him.
As Ruth becomes concerned that something terrible has happened to her brother, events escalate mysteriously, dangerously out of control.
Available for trade.

Hope you don't mind spiders :-)

recieved this morning, thank you. <> this looks like a really thrilling read!! Just by reading the back gives me the chills....on my TBR pile.
I didn't mind the spiders, they seemed to represent a bad omen, but what an odd storyline! From the first pages it is very voilent, and this isn't indicated from the back cover. I was morbidly curious about Ruth's relationship with Matt so the basic plot did work for me - but I found the ending a little annoying and sad. It didn't seem in keeping with the rest of what I'd already read. All in all an enjoyable read, but I feel there should have been some warning on the back about the voilence enclosed in the pages.
Received from Jackshome at the Norwich meetup.
A frightening story and violent, as Michelle says, with a surprise ending.
Thank you so much, the book arrived safe and sound this morning in Nottingham :-)
It will be joining soon the other books on the Bookshelf TBR and I hope to find some time to read it soon...I am a bit intrigued by the discrepancies in the JEs and I would really like to find out if it is really so gruesome...
