My partner and I ordered the box set of the first seven Sookie books for Christmas. We loved the first season of HBO's True Blood and wanted to give the books a try. I read the first book and loved it... can't wait to get to the others!

If my partner likes these, they'll undoubtedly become part of our PC. (he loves to re-read, I don't have time for that lol)

This was an entertaining volume in the Southern Vampire Series. Eric was a lot more enjoyable as an amnesiac, and the story of the witches was really cool (as was the sub plot of Jason's disappearance). While not as much overall suspense as the other books, the big climax was actually one of the best action scenes I can remember reading for quite some time.
