The streets of London are paved with gold ...allegedly. They may be twin sisters, but Lizzie and Penny Berry are complete opposites - Penny is blonde, thin and outrageous; Lizzie quiet, thoughtful and, well, definitely not thin. The one trait they do share is a desire to DO something with their lives, and as far as they're concerned, the place to get noticed is London. Out of the blue they discover they have a grandmother living in Chelsea - and when she has to go into hospital, they find themselves flat-sitting on the King's Road. But, as they discover, it's not as easy to become It Girls as they'd imagined, and west end boys aren't at all like Hugh Grant ...

Another one of my Scottish bargains although this one was more expensive & cost me 25p!!!

Good fun & an entertaining read about two completely different twins. Penny is thin & blonde, with a penchant for pink cowboy boots, mini skirts the size of a belt & dancing half naked in nightclubs. Lizzie on the otherhand, is quiet, plump & not one for making a show of herself.

On moving into their Grandmother's Chelsea flat their lives take a different turn. Penny gets a job in an art gallery...surely she'll meet Mr Rich-&-Wonderful here?

Lizzie starts work in a cafe but will she notice that the owner, Georges has a soft spot for her?

Do they find love....you'll have to read it to find out :o)

Non-identical twins Penny and Lizzie, by a twist of fate, move to a flat and new jobs in Chelsea, London, where their lives turn around from their poor beginnings, living with their Mum in a cramped house. Predictable, but well written, funny, and easy to read.

I thought the book started a little slowly and it didn't quite grab me at first. However upon reading more I really started to get engrossed in it! And I started to admire and understand the characters! I would definitely recommend!
