This book was chosen because it is on the 2009 Reading Olympics list for Bucks County, and Morrisville's Gifted 6-12 students are required to read one Reading Olympics book per month this school year. Our goal is to get the books on the list, journal about them as we read them, have a release party at the end of the school year, and track the journey of our books next school year. We're excited to see where this book goes!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I bought it for my Gifted class, since it is a 2009 Reading Olympics book, and will be releasing it to my class.

Jeremy Fink receives a box posthumously from his father that he is instructed to open on his thirteenth birthday; the only problem is that the four keys necessary to open the box have been lost! The book follows Jeremy and his best friend, Lizzy, on their adventures to find the keys and learn the meaning of life. I had several "laugh out loud" moments, which doesn't usually happen when I read, and, as I mentioned before, I really enjoyed reading this book. I am recommending it to all of my students! If you do read and enjoy this book I would also recommend reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, which is a similar story about a boy in New York on a quest with a key.

Hi this is Kevin.
This month I read this book and I thought that it was interesting and very good. This book is about Jeremy Fink, the main character, and his best friend, Lizzy, who is the other main character. In the beginning of the book, it explains that Jeremy's father died when Jeremy was eight in a car accident. In the beginning, Jeremy receives a wooden box which says that Jeremy should open it on his thirteenth birthday to find the meaning of life. It was given to him by his father. This tells the story of Lizzy and Jeremy trying to find the lost keys to the box. In the end, they do find the keys but I will not ruin the rest for you. Like I said, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone wanting to read a good adventure story.

I like this book. It is about a kid named Jeremy whose father died when he was youg. A month before his 13th birthday a package comes n the mail. It is from one of his dads friends. In the package is a letter and a beautiful wooden box that is ingraved. Its supossed to be The Meaning of Life. But the keys to the box are missing. There are four different locks on the box. The box says that Jeremy should open it on his 13th birthday. But he has no idea where the keys to the box are. Will he find the keys in time? Find out by reading this book.
