A prominent animal researcher has been hanged. And suspicion has fallen on the Cat Lady--a local biology professor whose obsession with rescuing strays makes her, in some people's minds, capable of murder in defense of animals. But China is a friend of the Cat Lady, and she doesn't agree. This may have been an act of pure human aggression.
