Ok, I've resisted trying these books for so long. I have tried others in this sub-genre (Hamilton, Harrison), and typically just can't get into them. However, after watching this first season of True Blood on HBO, I'm hooked and dying to know what happens next (and not wanting to wait until next summer), and quite curious as to whether the books are as good or better than the series. So here goes nothing....

I finished reading it this evening, and I actually quite enjoyed it! Another hard to put down read (I've had great luck lately)! I really got it because the season finale of True Blood had quite a cliffhanger, but now I see that they either created new content/characters, or took some from some of the latter books. Overall the show was pretty true to the book, and now I can't wait to get a copy of the next in line, I've just got to read it!
