I tried reading another copy of this book last year, and just couldn't get into it. I'm not usually into vampire stories, and at the time, I was really not in the mood. I keep hearing such high praises, so I may give this book yet another try.

Boy am I glad I decided to give this book another try. I guess it was just a matter of me not being in the mood for it when I tried it last year. This time around I loved the story! Rudy Pasco was in interesting villain, not overly scary, but mean and self-centered. And OK, how can I not like a book that mentions Hammer horror films more than once? Smart, sometimes funny, sometimes scary, at times quite gory, I really liked this one! I will set it free soon for someone else to discover.
