Passed on by Molyneux to be released. I've read this one so I'll add my review before I pass it on.
This is a book I read last year, but is remembered as beautifully sad and very well written.

I really enjoyed this story of man against nature. You feel for the main character William even when he makes stupid decisions and is stubborn and you certainly feel for his wife Sal, dragged along and expected to make the best of things. There's plenty of food for thought in the treatment of the 'savage blacks' and the incomprehension of the Europeans that they might be displacing them.
Now having also read Lillian's Story and Dark Places by the same author I think she's a talented writer and I've got some more titles lined up ready to read.
