The Da Vinci Code

This is a very popular book, now made into a movie. Having heard about it, and the controversy, I got the tape version and listened to it. Then I picked up a soft cover copy and read it again. There are some benefits to the print version of course - mainly easier to go back and read certain parts again. Anyway, this is a fast-paced, exciting read, and the critics say the movie did not do it justice, and I'd tend to agree although the movie was pretty good. Apparently this book is based on some other non-fiction books, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" being the main one, and I do think Brown should have given more prominent credit to these sources, although if I remember correctly he does mention them in the book, and it's not written as a technical book anyway. Enjoy it, and read his other books, "Deception Point" is very good also.
