This is the 2nd of Maggie Shayne's "Mordecai Young" series. I enjoyed reading it but felt that the 1st book was a better read. I did like the characters in this book and the story was interesting....I just felt that, at times, it could get a little to smarmy or mushy. I'm looking forward to reading the 3rd novel to how it will tie up the series.
