Hunting for Hidden Gold (His Hardy Boys Mystery Stories)
2 journalers for this copy...
Book #5 of the series.
I received this book on May 4, 1974 from some friends of the family. I was 7. It's the first chapter book I ever read. I think it took me two weeks to read.
I read it again this last week. It's interesting to see the way the story is put together. Lots of modes of transportation are used.
The copyright date is 1963, and the language is quite dated. The word "fellow" is used a LOT! We would probably replace it with "guy" today. The language is clean, but there are also a few lines that Beavis and Butthead would have a field day with. I was rolling on the floor laughing! How sophomoric of me!
The copyright page indicates that it was updated to reflect "the most up-to-date methods used by police and private detectives." I wonder what the original was like. I believe this is in reference to the photographing of fingerprints.

Found this book in a Geocache called Lost in Lakeway #5. A friend of mine placed it there, so it could be found as part of a "gold" find!
