I have to admit that I liked this book mostly because the main character is from North Carolina and works in Montreal -- two places I know and love. I found the writing a bit campy and I started to skim near the end, but the book was pretty spooky overall. I'm now reading Kathy Reichs' latest book to see if her style has matured over the past few years.

Took me awhile to get to this book (sent by my pal Peaches!). Great to read a thriller set in Montreal! Started to feel a bit freaked out reading the book at night, and that is the best part about thrillers. Didn't quite get the subplot about the friend (seemed contrived and a few too many coincidences). Liked the main character and how she dealt with problems. Thought the end was a bit unreal. Still, I looked forward to reading it at bedtime!

I will release this book in Moscow, Russia and wish it happy international travels.
