I found this somewhat battered hardcover at a local yard sale, and decided to get it as a release copy (I'm keeping mine). This cute little story of young Frances the badger, who just can't seem to go to sleep, should resonate with any parent. (My favorite bit is when she creeps into her parents' room late at night and stands silently beside the bed: "She was so quiet that Father woke up all of a sudden, with his eyes wide open. He said, "Umph!")

I left this book propped up on the fence around the "Goats in the Trees" area at Parlee Farm, at about 2:30, while stopping by for some apples. [They have quite a few varieties, pick-your-own or available by the bag - love those Jonagolds!] Hope the finder enjoys the book!
