Forever Lily: An Unexpected Mother's Journey to Adoption in China

As someone with experience in international adoption, I thought this would be an enjoyable book for the adoption story, not so much the reincarnation subplot that appears throughout Russel's memoir. The adoption story itself was compelling enough, and I eventually found the dream sequences rather contrived. Really, there's no need to weave a past-life bond in order to love a child in the here and now!
I'm not sure how I feel about how the adoption was ultimately completed after the adopting mother panics in China and begins to question going through with it--I'd hate for someone to walk away from this book thinking this was typical. Still, if this book shows people the plight of these kids in need, then that's a good thing.
Overall just okay. I had higher hopes.
