I'm not the type to use any variety of the overused statement "the book was better than the film"......But Ridley Scott really butchered this one - that it gets listed as a classic is an interesting aside. Some of Dick's best ever scenes are missing from the film - as well as all the key themes.

Anyway - this book's great.

Picked up at the meetup yesterday. This book is on the list of "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die". Will get round to reading it eventually.

Took a while to get into this book but got there in the end. It's very different from anything else I've read and I did enjoy parts of it. I haven't seen the film version but will look out for it.

I'm saving this book for either a film or 1001 book box. :)

Have wanted to read this since I saw the movie. Now having read it I wonder what PK Dick wouldve thought of the movie which is almost a completely different story. He died right before the movie was released and that couldve been a good thing.

Liked the movie
Liked the book
- but they are two different stories.

Got this from the 1001 bookbox but it was a quick read so back in it goes :)

Received from 1001 book box - - my husband is asking for this one! Good to know it's nothing like the movie...
