This is highly recommended. I found his other one 'downriver ' pretty hard going, but as I enjoyed some time in London, I"m determined to finish this one.

I was hoping for something like "Bypass" by Michael McGirr - https://www.australia-explained.com.au/books/bypass-the-story-of-a-road - the story of the Hume written by someone who'd actually gotten on their bike and ridden the whole way.

But although this book is superficially similar, I couldn't really follow along with the same interest. Quite possibly my brief jaunts to London, where I crouch in the centre apart from the mandatory trips to and from Heathrow, have given me close to no interest at all in the city's edges. My notion of London doesn't extend beyond the Monopoly board. Hampstead is a Tube too far.

My goodness, it’s been years since I used Bookcrossing. I’m so glad it’s still going. Thanks to Skyring who kindly lent me his camera for a trip and included a couple of Bookcrossing books and other goodies.

Clearing out Mount TBR. I read the first few pages but didn’t really like the style and I no longer feel so connected to London. Time to set it free!
