Received in the post yesterday. Will be reading during the month of October.
I just love the character off ODD and the way he speaks.
08/31/2009 Updated to say that I had offered tori58 Forever Odd that I had just received in the post this month. She stated that she would pass as she had never received Odd Hours :-(. I know that she had sent me her address several times, I know that there was a search for me about the address and Pm's getting through about 6 months ago.
Book was posted out to the next reader around March/April.
*****re-edited to add: When this book was finally received by Tori58 she sent me several pm's all in anger about not wanting the book, wanting to make sure I did not send her Forever Odd and to make sure that I understood that she was annoyed at having to send a book on that she did not request and had no time to read. I had written back to her at each time. I did ask her to check the postmark to verify when the postoffice recorded the book as being sent off. I received no response to this request.

This book arrived with considerable water damage. If spaceystacey had pm'd me before sending it to me MONTHS after I sent her my address, I could have told her that I don't have time to read it nor do I have any interest at this point in time. So now I'm stuck mailing on a book that I didn't want and did not read.

Arrived safely! I have 2 other books to read before I can get started on this, but am looking forward to reading it very soon, and will get it moving along again ASAP.
Update: Odd Thomas is such a loveable character, and while this was not my favorite of the 'Oddie' books, it was still an enjoyable read.

After several attempts (through PMs and forum 'ISO' thread), I haven't been able to get ahold of sarradee, so the book is now moving along to the next in line, oi-reader.

To the finder of this book:
What you have in your hands is an honest-to-goodness gift, no strings attached. You may keep it forever and ever, pass it on to a friend, or release it back "into the wild" for someone else to find. I know it may seem a little odd to find this lying around--it's my way of touching the lives of others in a positive way, with the hope that it made your day. :)
If you are new to BookCrossing, and find this book and this site, welcome! Enjoy the site, the book, and hopefully the BookCrossing community. I hope you'll join BookCrossing (doesn't cost anything to join!) and if you do, please consider using any previous reader of this book ... or me, dg7500 ... as the member who referred you. Or you may remain anonymous!
If you are an old hand at BookCrossing, thanks for picking up the book! Either way, I hope you'll make a brief journal entry so all the previous and future readers can track this book's journey. Thanks, and Happy Crossing! :)
"Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens ..."
