The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a murder mystery novel like no other. The detective, and narrator, is Christopher Boone. Christopher is fifteen and has Asperger's, a form of autism. He knows a very great deal about maths and very little about human beings. He loves lists, patterns and the truth. He hates the colours yellow and brown and being touched. He has never gone further than the end of the road on his own, but when he finds a neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his whole world upside down.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Boek gaat vandaag op weg naar AylaMey
Once I started reading I had difficulty keeping track of time myself. The book absorbed me into the mind of this young boy. His way of thinking, speaking, seeing the world and acting in it. It not once dulled me. I kept reading it in almost every place possible; hallways, on the couch in front of the television, in bed, even at the loo...yes... I just could not let go and kept reading every spare moment I had. In having finished it I admit I am even a bit sorry for that. Now I have to find me another good book to keep me occupied and hope it will not be any less of a great read as this book has been to me.
Thank you for sharing it, rroos!
A PM has been sent to Moriquen for forwarding the book.

Bij het postkantoor afgeleverd voor verzending naar Moriquen. Het is niet goedkoop verzenden naar het buitenland, maar allee, voor zo'n mooi boek doe ik dat! :)
The way in which Christopher tries to make sence of the world around him is both beautiful and painful at the same time. You may have read books about certain types of autism, without fully realising how life for an autistic person might be. This book gives you a clearer insight. And although it is not a funny story and what happens to Christopher sometimes is quite sad, you can't help but smile every now and then, because of the way Christopher sees and describes all of these events. (Just noticing that Christopher starts 'his book' with chapter 2 in stead of 1, because 2 is a prime number and he likes prime numbers, cracked me up!)
Thanks for the ring rroos and thanks again AylaMey for sending it to me. (A PM has been sent to redfloor!)

I finished the book last Monday. It's a great read and it gives you a great inside in the way someone with asperger thinks. Especially the part where he describes how he reacts when someone asks him to describe his mother. Any 'normal' person would say some characteristics, not him. He just describes things that happend where his mother was part of.
Since Ankevd3s asked to be skipped I sent a PM to the ring starter, Rroos, what she would like me to do with the book.
