The Reluctant Fundamentalist
2 journalers for this copy...
I've been meaning to read this book for the past few months but just haven't gotten around to ordering it from Amazon. I discovered it about 2 months ago in one of those bins at Hannaford. I paid my donation to the charity of the week and let the book hang around for another week or so. I'm currently reading Xenphon's Anabasis, and have been taking a break every so often from the war in Persia to enjoy a bit of fiction. That's when I picked up this book.
I enjoyed Hamid's writing style, but at times found that the conversational tone made the story a bit one-dimensional.The story is interesting in many ways and I am glad I had the chance to read it. That being said, I am releasing it because I don't think I'll ever read it again.
