I enjoyed this book which tells of a convict's life in Australia as he struggles with his family to make a new life.
The style of writing (no speech marks) was hard to get to grips with and that is my only complaint.

I read this whilst relaxing by the pool on holiday in Bulgaria. It was my favourite book of the week. It reminded me somewhat of 'The Poisonwood Bible'. Would highly recommend. Have even gone out and bought the sequel 'Sarah Thornhill'.

Had read it before, but forgotten most of it. Picked it up at Hotel Helena Sands during holiday. It's a good poolside read. Brought it home with me to the Isle of Man and will pass it on - probably leave it in a cafe and see who gets it next.
Didn't know there was a sequel but will probably look out for that now.
