I saw the release notice for this when Jare released it at the OBCZ a few weeks ago & contemplated a trip over to the west side to grab it, but figured it would be gone by the time I could get there. Wandered in for a Meet-Up today & it was still there - yippee! This is hefty, so it may be a while before I'm ready to re-release.

I've been reading this but need to take a break - too much of any author at once gets to me. The funny thing is that the poetry collection I picked up as a replacement for this starts with a section on Hardy!

Hardy is said to have considered himself a poet who wrote novels to pay the bills, but an interesting thing I'm finding with this collection is that a lot of his poems are small stories, so I think he was really some fusion of the two disciplines.

I finally made it all the way through this...little bits at a time! I'm going to hang on to it until I run across another copy.

I *finally* scored a hardback copy of this at this month's library sale, so will put this copy up for adoption.

I recently read Hardy's Jude the Obscure which was his last novel. He devoted the rest of his life to writing poetry but I didn't realize how much he wrote. This is a truly massive collection! I'll be reading some of these in my spare time but not sure when or if I will get through the whole collection. Thanks for sending this from the VBB.
