Purchased from Insightout book club. It looked just too good to pass up! Can't wait to dive in... looks to be a steamy, fun graphic novel!

Not too much of a story here, high school buddies have sex (lots and lots of sex), and fall in love, move to the big city... still a cute little story. Very steamy, too! Will let this go to another Bookcrosser soon as the only place I can think to wild release this would be in a gay bar, and I just so rarely go to bars.

Urk - sorry! The book arrived a few days ago, and I figured it would be a quick read so I could journal it with comments - and then of course I let myself get distracted (and not just by that bubble-butt on the cover {grin}). Anyway, it's here, it's safe, and I hope to post more comments on it shortly - and thanks so much for sending it!

[Man, I've got to catch up on my book-review backlog!] I appreciated Mioki's artwork, which left nothing to the imagination {grin}, and the inventiveness, athleticism, and stamina of the cartoon characters. Oh, and the sense of humor. From the copyright page: "All of the cartoons in this fictional story were 21 years or older when they were drawn for this artwork.... All of the cartoon characters in this book practise 'safe sex' and if you don't see the evidence of that, it's because the condoms are invisible." And there's a very funny panel in which "Charlie had intimacy issues" - showing Charlie taking a fly-swatter to some little Cupids.

There are some truly lovely panels, too - two guys racing through a shady green forest, or basking on the beach at sunset; a "time passed" sequence showing autumn leaves and winter snow; an impressive cityscape sunset. But most of the book's devoted to handsome, naked men trying out as many sexual positions as they can. Can you say "eye candy"?

[In some ways the book reminded me of Tom Bouden's In Bed with David and Jonathan. Lots and lots of cheerful, hunky cartoon sex!]
