Insightout book club purchase.. looks like an interesting erotic thriller.

Ok, to say this is an erotic thriller is not quite accurate. It's more a heavily erotic tale with a slight bit of a thriller of a plot. The actual story could have been very interesting, had it not been bloated with so much sex. Still not a bad read, just could have been better. The sex was hot, but more in a porno way rather than sensual or erotic (down to the cheesy dirty talk--I could literally hear that horrid 80's porn music in my head as I was reading this). Will have to find a new home for this... not quite something I can release at the grocery store or the park.

this was a quick read, more sex than substance and no where near as plotty as it could have been, which is a shame because it's a strong premise -- two hot young telepaths escaping (each in their own way) the clutches of a repressive Institute, finding each other again after years of enforced separation and various encounters with many different men. i mean, that's awesome, right? and yet, it just wasn't as fun as it should have been.

still, it was an enjoyable read, hot, dark, and some ways disturbing. and if, like me, you're willing to overlook some of the obvious flaws here, i think you'll find it an easy way to pass an otherwise boring afternoon!
